Drama & Performing Arts
Drama and Performing Arts are a vibrant and celebrated part of life at Stafford Grammar School, offering every student the opportunity to develop confidence, creativity and teamwork both on and off the stage.

Benefits of DofE
The DofE is about much more than just expeditions and taking part in each of the sections. DofE builds confidence and develops self-esteem. It requires persistence, commitment and a sense of teamwork. Our pupils overcome challenges and never forget their DofE experiences – it really does have a lasting impact on the attitudes and outlook of all young people who take part.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the world’s leading achievement awards for young people and is a popular and thriving programme at Stafford Grammar School.
We are one of the most successful Duke of Edinburgh centres in Staffordshire. Young people progress through three levels of DofE programmes to achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. The majority of our Year 9 pupils start the Bronze award with many continuing through to Silver and some to Gold.
Stafford Grammar School is a Directly Licensed Centre. This means that the school holds a licence to deliver the Award to our students and present the awards to them when they are successful. The licence is reviewed every three years, showing that Stafford Grammar School continues to meet the specific standards of safety, safeguarding and training required of a Directly Licensed Centre.

LAMDA
LAMDA is a very popular extracurricular option at Stafford Grammar School. We have 5 LAMDA teachers and all through the school we have many pupils who take individual or paired lessons each week.
Sixth Form Plus:
Our Sixth Form Plus Programme is designed to help our pupils stand out and become highly attractive candidates to universities and future employers. Pupils can pick from a range of complementary options such as the Extended Project Qualification, which allows them to delve into a personal interest under the guidance of an experienced staff member. Alternatively, they can choose another element from our Sixth Form Plus program such as MOOCs, TEFL or other qualifications that will make their CV stand out from the crowd.
At Stafford Grammar School, the Sixth Form experience goes beyond education; it prepares pupils for the challenges that lie ahead, whether that be in education or the world of work.
