Headmaster's Welcome

One of my first experiences of Stafford Grammar School was a music concert (of which there are a great many). It was extraordinary and not just because of the exceptionally talented musicians; what stood out for me was the spirit of the community – the camaraderie between the pupils (Prep through to Sixth Form), the warmth and obvious respect between the teachers and the pupils, and the involvement of the parents. It was a fantastic occasion and I quickly came to realise that is what you can expect throughout the year at Stafford Grammar School.

Teddy Roosevelt said “no-one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” Being a smaller school allows us to create that special atmosphere and our dedicated staff know and care for all of our pupils as individuals, which builds their confidence and enables them to flourish. We achieve excellent academic results and our high standards and success are encapsulated in a uniquely caring approach that makes the school feel like a family.

Headmaster Mr Nick PietrekStafford Grammar School lives out its values every day through the exceptional relationships that are at the heart of everything we do. Through inspiring lessons, the myriad of extra-curricular activities, the outstanding pastoral care and the extensive school visits, our students are nurtured to reach their full academic and personal potential.

Michelangelo said “The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.” We are committed to ensuring that by the time your son or daughter leaves Stafford Grammar School, they will have been given all the tools to prepare them for their next adventure. However, in such a rapidly evolving world it is not just about preparing our pupils for the future but also equipping them to create the future and have the ambition and confidence to be the shapers of what is to come.
