Sixth Form Experience Day & Evening – Wed 20th November 2019

The Sixth Form Experience Day is a great way to find .out what life is like in the Stafford Grammar School Sixth Form. The Day is designed to give prospective Sixth Form students with the opportunity to sample lessons with A-level teachers and to meet other students. Prospective students have full use of the Sixth Form Centre, choose which lessons to sample, enjoy a buffet lunch and team building activities.

In the evening, students and their parents will be able to attend an introductory talk by the Head of Sixth Form and sixth form students and then choose to visit a range of subject talks delivered by the Heads of Department about studying that subject at A-level.

Refreshments will be available in the Sixth Form common room and the Headmaster and Deputy Heads will be available to speak to you individually and to answer any questions.

Assessment and Experience Days

Assessment and Experience Days offer pupils the chance to complete our assessment papers in order to be offered a place at Stafford Grammar School. In addition, we want them to have a really positive day with us and so they will also be involved in other activities such as quizzes, team building, science activities, sport and drama. Prospective pupils will also be provided with lunch in school. These days provide an insight into school life and are an excellent opportunity to ask our staff and pupils questions. We understand that new pupils can sometimes feel nervous about visiting a new school and so we ensure that they are fully supported and guided throughout the day in order to feel happy and at home.

Individual Assessment & Experience Days

If you are unable to attend our Assessment & Experience Days in June or November, we are very happy to accommodate you at any time. Please call the school and speak to the Headmaster’s secretary. Your child will be able to visit us, complete our entrance assessment papers and visit some sample lessons with a ‘buddy’ in the same class if they wish.

‘Open Door’ Afternoons - Friday 5th and Friday 12th June 2020, 1 - 3 p.m.

Whether you are looking to the future or making a final decision for September, our Open Door Afternoons are an informal way to visit our school and to find out more. You will be able to speak to the Headmaster and other staff and have a guided tour around the school if you wish. There is no need to book. The aim of the Open Door Afternoons is simply to welcome interested families and individuals for a low-key chat and a look around to get a sense of what the school is like and what we have to offer. We would be delighted to meet you.
