YOUR JOURNEY TO STAFFORD GRAMMAR SCHOOL

Stafford Grammar School draws its pupils from far and wide. Whilst some travel to School by car, many others use bus and train. We try to ensure that transport arrangements are co-ordinated so that those who live some distance from us are in no way disadvantaged but can be assured of a swift and safe journey, morning and afternoon.

Good public transport operates from most directions into School and, with the assistance of Arriva, it has been possible to co-ordinate several bus services so that pupils can be taken all the way to School and be picked up again after School.

Arriva have, in the past, done saver tickets on longer journeys (e.g. Eccleshall, Newport, Gailey, Cannock, Rugeley and Brereton) should you use any of their services then please check with them for reductions on daily fares.

A School mini-bus leaves Hednesford at 7.45 a.m., Heath Hayes at 7.50 a.m., Cannock Railway Station at           7.55 a.m., Hatherton Road at 8.00 a.m., Pillaton at 8.15 a.m., Penkridge at 8.20 a.m., Acton Trussell at 8.30 a.m., arriving at school at approximately 8.40 a.m.

CHURCH EATON

A School mini-bus leaves Outwoods at 8.05 a.m., Moreton at 8.10 a.m., Goosemoor at 8.13 a.m., Church Eaton at  8.20 a.m., Allimore Green at 8.25 a.m., Castle Bank at  8.35 a.m., arriving at School at approximately 8.45 a.m.

ECCLESHALL

A School mini-bus leaves Cranberry at 7.40 a.m., Standon at 7.45 a.m., Walkmill at 8.00 a.m., Bishops Offley at 8.03 a.m., Copmere at 8.08 a.m., Elford Heath at 8.12 a.m., Great Bridgeford at 8.20 a.m., Seighford at 8.25 a.m., continuing to school via Derrington arriving at School at approximately 8.45 a.m.

Arriva also run a bus from Woodseaves and Eccleshall to school (no.432). This bus leaves Woodseaves at 7.45 a.m., Eccleshall (Castle Street flats) at 7.57 a.m., Stafford (Chell Road) at 8.22 a.m. The afternoon bus leaves School at 4.10 p.m. arriving at Chell Road at 4.25 p.m. before continuing to Eccleshall (Castle Street flats) and arriving at 4.45 p.m. Please confirm times with Arriva.

A School mini-bus leaves Cheswerdine 7.40 a.m., Hinstock at 8.00 a.m., Daniels Cross Newport at 8.10 a.m., Billington Bank at 8.25 a.m., Castle Bank at 8.30 a.m., arriving at school at 8.40 a.m.

J.J's coaches operate a coach service from Lichfield (Morrison’s car park) at 7.40 a.m., Longdon Green at 7.48 a.m., Rugeley at 8.0 a.m., Little Haywood at 8.05 a.m., Milford Common at 8.15 a.m., Walton Garage at 8.17 a.m., Radford Bank 8.20 a.m. , Silkmore Lane 8.22 a.m. arriving at School at 8.40 a.m., In the afternoon the bus leaves School at 4.05 p.m.

RETURN JOURNEY

All School mini-buses leave School at 4.00 p.m. and coaches by 4.05 p.m.

Alterations to the route to pick up pupils may be possible as long as it does not cause significant delay or inconvenience to other pupils and parents. Any additional cost involved will be divided by the number of pupils being picked up at this location and will be passed on to parents.

Any changes will be communicated to parents before implementation.
